WINPACCS Symposium 2024

On 6 November 2024, we celebrated the 10th WINPACCS Symposium – and what an anniversary! With over 200 participants, both on site at the Wetzlar City Hall and via livestream, this day was a unique event full of exciting presentations and valuable encounters.

A particular highlight of the day was the active involvement of our customers: in interactive presentations and lively workshops, they shared their experiences and provided valuable insights into their work with WINPACCS. A live demonstration of the latest WINPACCS functions – packaged in a role play – was met with just as much enthusiasm as the round of interviews with executives from renowned aid organisations, who reported on their practical experiences with WINPACCS.

The varied programme also offered exciting insights into current and future topics related to WINPACCS: from the introduction of the new partner book and the latest interfaces to project finances, project accounting and the many customising options. There was also plenty of information about WINPACCS applications in consulting companies and training opportunities. An inspiring example was provided by the presentation of Malteser International, which gave first-hand practical insights into the successful implementation of WINPACCS in its own organisation.

The day was characterised by new contacts, intensive discussions and a valuable exchange among like-minded people. The symposium provided the perfect opportunity to bring together customers, interested aid organisations and the WINPACCS team, and to talk about innovations and experiences – an enriching platform that gave the participants inspiration for their own work.

Venue

wetzlar

Located in the heart of the state Hessen in central Germany, Wetzlar straddles the river Lahn a mere 30 miles north of Frankfurt. Having been an economic and cultural hub of the region since medieval times, it is now most famous for its optics industry and its association with German national poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. With a population of just over 50,000 people, Wetzlar remains a favourite among visitors attracted not just by its historic old town and cathedral, but also its beautiful surroundings along the Lahn valley.

The WINPACCS Symposium will take place in the conference rooms of Wetzlarer Hof hotel and the nearby town hall Stadthalle. Directions

The WINPACCS Symposium will take place in the conference suite of the Hotel Wetzlarer Hof and Wetzlar Town Hall (Stadthalle Wetzlar, Brühlsbachstraße 2b in 35578 Wetzlar).

Arriving by car
Given its proximity to the A45 motorway and B49 highway, the venue can be easily reached by car from any direction.

The address is Brühlsbachstraße 2b, 35578 Wetzlar. There is a car park on the premises.

Arriving by public transportation
There are direct trains to Wetzlar station from Frankfurt, Marburg, Giessen, Limburg and Siegen.

From there, bus number 11 or 12 will take you to the Stadthalle in under ten minutes.

Airport transfer
Frankfurt am Main International Airport (FRA) is only a 90 minute train ride away from Wetzlar. There are several connections every hour.
