The WINPACCS Cloud Archive is a facility which allows users to discontinue their active use of WINPACCS while retaining access to their stored data. The WINPACCS Cloud Archive can be used indefinitely at a reduced monthly cost. If you are planning to switch from the WINPACCS Cloud to the WINPACCS Cloud Archive, please contact your WINPACCS Consultant in advance to ensure a smooth transition. The WINPACCS Cloud and the WINPACCS Cloud Archive cannot be used in parallel. However, it is possible to return to an active use of the WINPACCS Cloud at a later date, if so desired.

WINPACCS accounting features a moving average rate procedure, which prevents any profits or losses resulting from fluctuating exchange rates. This means: the funds received by the project/office are converted into costs, equaling the amount of the provided funds based on the company currency (except for rounding differences) or each unit of company currency send to the project/office will be converted into costs. There will be no profits or losses from fluctuating exchange rates. This procedure has been developed by chartered accountants specifically for project accounting for development cooperation.

Using “Digital Vouchers” in accounting terms means digitizing posting vouchers, saving them in digital form and being able to display them at any time. Using this method produces many advantages. The following aspects, above all, are very interesting for organisations in development cooperation. More and more organisations using WINPACCS or planning to roll out WINPACCS for the projects and offices are thus reviewing the possibility of scanning their posting vouchers and filing them as image files in digital archives. WINPACCS accounting 4.2 and WINPACCS cashbook 2.2 are now available! The following White Paper provides you with some hints on two important new features that these updates offer: In WINPACCS Accounting and Cashbook you can now easily divide amounts between several budget lines of the same budget structure. There is now a new option for editing a previously entered splitting: If you change the total amount, you can split it among the partial postings according to the previous percentages. This preserves the ratio in which the total amount is divided and the individual amounts are adjusted accordingly. This option is particularly useful for posting templates for regularly recurring posting transactions in which an adjusted total amount is to be split to defined percentage values.
