Martin Bork studied agro-economics at the Justus-Liebig University in Giessen. After graduating in 1986, he worked as an IT trainer at Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft e.V. In 1987, he switched to Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, working in the area of development cooperation, and was responsible for planning, developing and introducing information systems in its projects and partner organisations worldwide.
He moved to self-employment in 1992 and founded mbi Unternehmensberatungs-GmbH in 1994. His initial plans to work as a self-employed IT consultant quickly developed due to high demand and the business became a software company with a steadily growing workforce.
Besides his tasks as Managing Director, Martin Bork always takes time to work on projects himself as a Senior Consultant.
Living by ethical principles and taking responsibility in his private and business life are very important for Martin Bork and he thus works for the Christian business association, “Christen in der Wirtschaft e.V.” (CiW), on an honorary basis, among others.
