Glossary

If the terms are not right, things lose their order. (Confucius)

The WINPACCS glossary provides helpful explanations on the WINPACCS technical terms that are used most frequently.

This glossary / collection contains many important specialist terms in four languages and explains them within the framework of WINPACCS. It helps to quickly clarify terms spoken about and used in the multi-lingual environment of international development cooperation and how they are to be understood in the application.

Breakdown

The term "breakdown" refers to the classification of costs or a budget according to a selected characteristic, e.g. according to years, months or the recording system.

Budgets can be broken down directly when they are created, e.g. by calendar years, quarters or months. In addition to the total amount of the budget, you also plan partial amounts for each partial period in an broken-down budget. All plan columns of the budget are available for the total amount and for the partial periods. In target-actual analyses, the total costs are compared to the total budget and the individual expenses are broken down by period.
