WINPACCS for Project accountants

The aim of this seminar is to provide you with key project accounting knowledge, as well as user know-how for the WINPACCS project accounting software. You will then be able to post all the transaction types available in project accounting in WINPACCS and use all the important functions of WINPACCS.
  • Principles of project accounting in development cooperation
    Working with different currencies, displaying various fundings in project accounting, using account assignment and additional information, showing donor requirements and cost accounting using budget structures
  • User registration and log-in
    Registering of new users in WINPACCS Cloud and registration in WINPACCS accounting
  • Initial set-up of WINPACCS accounting
    Downloading master data and accepting journals
  • Posting transactions
    Posting aided by transaction categories (supply of funds, forwarding of funds, transfer of funds, costs, income, advance payment, funds received, balancing of payables, return of funds) and allocation of accounts, fundings and budget lines to individual vouchers
  • Principles of the Moving Average Rate Procedure
    Handling different currencies, automatic conversion from voucher currency to company currency
  • Posting tax
    Automatic calculation of net amounts and separate account assignment for tax component
  • Splitting postings
    Automatic and manual splitting of costs, income and advance payment to different accounts and budget lines
  • Correcting postings
    Retrospective changes, automatic reposting and reversing of postings, posting of correction postings
  • Posting voucher batches from cash books
    Downloading voucher batches, checking, completing and correcting posting data, automatic posting of batches
  • Using posting templates
    Saving recurring postings as posting templates and organising them in template groups, posting templates and whole template groups
  • Checking posting data
    Using the “Postings” and “Unsettled items” overviews
  • Creating reports
    Cash- and bank reconciliations, balance reports, filter preferences of all the standard reports
  • Day-end and month-end closings
    Creating and uploading closings, status of closings, correction of rejected closings

Participation

You can register through your organisation's WINPACCS Coordinator. Coordinators can register after logging in to the customer portal.

Participation requirements

  • Experience with PCs and Microsoft Windows.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting is ideal; however, participants do not have to be trained accountants.

Attendance fee

Germany: EUR 715 or EUR 665 for early reservations

Early bird prices apply to reservations made at least three months before the event starts. All prices are incl. statutory value-added tax.
