Martin Bork studied agro-economics at the Justus-Liebig University in Giessen. After graduating in 1986, he first worked as an IT trainer at Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft e.V. In 1987, he switched to Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, where he worked in the area of development cooperation and was responsible for planning, developing and introducing information systems in its projects and partner organisations worldwide.
He became self-employed in 1992 and founded mbi Unternehmensberatungs-GmbH in 1994. What was originally planned as work in the form of a self-employed IT consultant quickly developed based on the great demand to become a software company with a steadily growing workforce.
Besides his tasks as managing director, Martin Bork always takes the time to work on projects himself as a senior consultant.
For him it is important to live ethical principles and take responsibility in his private and business life, so he commits himself on an honorary basis to the Christian business association, “Christen in der Wirtschaft e.V.” (CiW), among others.
