For the first time, the Customer Day will also be held hybridly, allowing customers to take part in the event either on site at the Stadthalle Wetzlar or via livestream.

The ninth WINPACCS Symposium is being held in hybrid form for the first time. More than 400 guests from over 40 countries are taking part. Participants from the partner countries in particular welcome the livestream offer - for many, this is the only way they can take part.

The first WINPACCS online course for project accounting is published in English and French. This gives customers the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the practical basics of WINPACCS Accounting and WINPACCS Cashbook at any time and from any location. For the first time, the WINPACCS information event will take place in digital form: Various organisations are taking part in our livestream to find out about WINPACCS and check whether the software meets the requirements of their work in development cooperation.

The WINPACCS team moves into the new location in Wetzlar. From now on, employees can enjoy the special ambience of the Wilhelminian-style villa in modern offices. For the participants in our seminars, who come from the partner countries and have often learnt German at the Goethe Institutes, a visit to the Goethe city of Wetzlar is always a special experience.

The eighth symposium is organised with great success. Over 50 participants follow the presentations and workshops held by customers and mbi employees with great interest. The newly developed "Project planning and monitoring" function and the introduction of project controlling in the cloud were crowd-pullers.

The newly developed applications WINPACCS Accounting 4.0 and WINPACCS Cashbook 2.0 are introduced worldwide at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. Over 400 project accountants are trained jointly by GIZ and mbi employees.

The seventh symposium is held with great success in the town hall of the Goethe town of Wetzlar. Visitors from all over the world learn about the new WINPACCS functions and have an intensive exchange of experiences with other participants. mbi celebrates 30 years of WINPACCS with its customers, friends, and former employees at a festive ceremony.

Partner management has been expanded to include the option of importing accounting data from partners directly via interfaces. A new "Monitoring of quantities" function enables the creation of quantity budgets, the recording of quantities and the integration of this information into donor reports.

Partner management is integrated into WINPACCS Cloud. Partner-related data can be managed and linked to various other information in WINPACCS. This is an important innovation, especially for aid organisations that work very intensively with local partners.

The functionalities in WINPACCS Cloud continue to grow with the integration of person administration and the addition of individual roles to user administration. WINPACCS reaches an important milestone with the introduction of digital voucher capture.

WINPACCS Cloud is introduced with many new functions as Software as a Service (SaaS). The offline modules WINPACCS Accounting and WINPACCS Cashbook are directly integrated. These enhancements and adaptations lead to an enormous increase in interest in WINPACCS from aid organisations.

mbi GmbH begins offering regular open training courses on WINPACCS in partner countries. This standard training programme, which still exists today, has helped to ensure that the numerous users worldwide have gained a good understanding of the application and can use it well.

The Netherland’s Red Cross (NLRC) is the first organisation outside Germany to opt for WINPACCS. To this day, WINPACCS is the software for the NLRC's projects and regional offices.

The first WINPACCS Symposium will be held at the inWEnt in Bonn.

The electronic bank and cash book WINPACCS Cashbook is developed. To this day, WINPACCS Cashbook supports many accountants and project cashiers in aid projects worldwide in managing project cashbooks electronically and also in conveniently pre-entering vouchers for accounting purposes. WINPACCS is renamed WINPACCS Accounting, as mbi GmbH develops further modules in addition to project accounting under the WINPACCS name.

mbi GmbH takes over the distribution and further development rights to the WINPACCS software from GIZ. It is an important step in the history of WINPACCS and offers mbi GmbH the opportunity to develop WINPACCS to meet the needs of all aid organisations.

The application is converted to a WINDOWS interface. The name of the software is changed from PACCS to WINPACCS.

The last manual project accounting systems at GIZ are replaced. From this time until today, all project accounting for GIZ projects worldwide has been managed with PACCS, since 2001 WINPACCS.

The first aid organisations outside the GIZ opt for PACCS. mbi GmbH takes on some of the set-up, maintenance, and support for these installations.

The PACCS (Project Accounting System) developed by GIZ is introduced in the first GIZ projects. This marks the start of the replacement of manual bookkeeping in projects worldwide.
