German Leprosy and Tuberculosis Relief Association (DAHW)
The German Leprosy and Tuberculosis Relief Association (DAHW) is a registered charity for sustainable aid for sick and socially excluded people in development and emerging nations. The DAHW works independently of political or religious persuasions and is based in Würzburg, Germany.
The various aid projects are based on the local needs and cover many aspects; from support for individual hospitals and training of state health personnel up to supporting people with impairments and their reintegration in society.
The DAHW has already provided medical treatment or social support to millions of people.
The DAHW is providing Support in 178 projects in over 20 countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America. The focal point of its work is on medical and social support for people suffering from leprosy, tuberculosis and other diseases of poverty and their consequences such as impairment and social exclusion. In many projects, the DAHW works together with church institutions, other aid organisations and state health authorities in order to use synergies and secure the sustainability of the projects.
The existing project billing system was to be replaced by a new accounting software that meets the international standards of the donors.
In the summer of 2012, the DAHW chose WINPACCS after thorough consideration. Following comprehensive consulting and training by employees of mbi GmbH, WINPACCS was then rolled out in the project by qualified employees of the DAHW.
Today, approximately 150 DAHW projects are using WINPACCS.
