FAIRMED, previously known as Leprosy Relief Emmaus Switzerland, is supporting neglected people who are prone to disease and poverty since 1959.

Staff of FAIRMED operates from Bern and works with local partners on site.

At the core of the work is the focus on neglected tropical diseases such as Leprosy and Buruli ulcer, people with disabilities and health care for marginalised communities.

FAIRMED develops projects together with the focus population and is linked to government authorities and other organisations alike in the countries where FAIRMED is active. FAIRMED is concerned that marginalised people can claim their basic right on health care irrespective of gender, social or political affiliation.
