WINPACCS Cloud 2019.01

As we already announced end of March, the WINPACCS Cloud will be updated to version 2019.01 on 2 May 2019.

With this email, we would like to provide you with further information. The following documents are in German but will also be available in English from our website next week (Go to Service > White Papers or search the document library after logging in).

  • All important new features of this release are described in the White Paper “New features in WINPACCS Cloud 2019.01”. It includes the following topics, among other things: new features of the project controlling, changes regarding the reporting currency scheme and funding, the interface “Data Transfer from the Company Accounting” and the migration to WINPACCS accounting 4 and WINPACCS cashbook 2.
  • The adjustments due to the changes in the new role-based authorisation concept are explained in the White Paper “Changes to user roles” for users of WINPACCS accounting 3 or WINPACCS accounting 4. The White Paper also gives you practical advice regarding which of the new user roles should be assigned to which user.
  • You will find a detailed overview over the rights in particular, which are included in the new and adjusted user roles in the White Paper “User roles and rights in WINPACCS Cloud 2019.01”. From 2 May 2019, this information can also be found in the user administration of the WINPACCS Cloud.
  • In our document library we also provide you with a short manual entitled "WINPACCS User Administration - Creating Reports", which explains how you can efficiently generate reports on the currently used roles in the user administration functional area.

Within the next days, we will also send you a comparison of the old and new user roles used by your organisation with an estimation of costs.

Along with the update to version 2019.01 on 2 May 2019, we will provide you with detailed release notes.

We have optimised our WINPACCS website – both visually and technologically. The design, which is still based on the well-known design you know, was upgraded to a modernised version.

In addition, there is new information for you to discover:

  • We significantly expanded our offer for training and education as well as adapted it to the new role-based authorisation concept of WINPACCS. Especially for the administrator roles, we now offer webinars, on which you can take part effortlessly and cost-efficiently from your office desk.
  • The release notes of the WINPACCS applications are now available without login at Customer Portal > Release Notes.
  • In our videos, our consultants explain to you in an easy-to-understand manner how the WINPACCS applications can be used and which functions they offer. Additional videos are in the making.
  • Check out Products > Topics for more in-depth background information about WINPACCS.

Your WINPACCS login remains valid; just log in for further information on WINPACCS or to download documents from the Costumer Portal.

Over the next few months we will be offering a variety of seminars, webinars and workshops for you. Check out our new website for more details.

As of this year, our range of seminars is even more closely tailored towards the revised WINPACCS user roles. Our aim is to ensure that our range of seminars is a better fit to typical fields of activity in development cooperation, just as the user roles are:

Save the date: WINPACCS Symposium and Customer Day!

Following on from our Customer Day last year and the Symposium the year before, we’re also planning a WINPACCS Symposium and a WINPACCS Customer Day in 2019.

  • WINPACCS Symposium – 5 November 2019
  • WINPACCS Customer Day – 6 November 2019

We are working on many innovations and further developments in WINPACCS, which we would like to present to you on these days.

At the Customer Day we’d also like to offer tips for the switch-over to WINPACCS accounting 4, WINPACCS cashbook 2 as well as the new Project controlling in the cloud. Some customers may report on their experiences. 

The format of both events will reflect previous years and again be held in the Stadthalle (Town Hall) Wetzlar. We’ll send you details well in advance.
