Safe Spaces for women and girls

In many parts of the world, women and girls are unable to live in safety – and in crisis regions, they are particularly at risk. There, they are often deprived of their self-determination and their freedom. In countries such as Liberia, Iraq, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Afghanistan, women and girls are deliberately marginalised and oppressed. They are beaten, raped and enslaved. They are robbed of their freedom and their dignity.

medica monidale e.V. stands by the side of these women and survivors of sexualised violence. In order to support and strengthen them, they create places of safety and hope - safe spaces. Here, women can talk openly about the violence they have experienced and come to terms with it.
