Seminar WINPACCS^® cost control basic

The seminar will familiarise you with WINPACCS^® cost control as a tool for budget control and cost accounting, specifically when working on projects of development cooperation and humanitarian aid.

Seminar content

• Basics of financial control
  Budget planning and cost accounting in development cooperation
• Setting up the master data
  Importing client, chart of accounts and project master data
• Importing data from WINPACCS^® accounting and other accounting systems
  Importing vouchers from project accounting as well as from the company’s accounting system
• Creating budgets and performing planned - actual comparisons
  Generating total budgets and budgets with a debit-credit comparison for donors
• Cost accounting by cost categories, cost category groups and project internal structures
  Learning about the different forms of cost and budget monitoring, establishing project internal structures and cost category groups
• Generating reports in line with the requirements of different donors
  Ways of generating reports to meet complex donor requirements, different ways of managing currency conversion in line with donor demands

The seminar is based upon the latest version of WINPACCS^® cost control 3.1.

Target audience

This seminar is aimed at controllers working on projects, in regional offices or head offices.

Number of participants

This seminar is designed for a maximum number of 8 participants in order to assure successful learning results.

Participant qualification

Experience in working with computers and MS Windows. Basics in financial project controlling.
