Today, WINPACCS® represents a reliable and established system of applications and services for organisations of development cooperation and humanitarian aid. What is the story behind WINPACCS®?
2011
Many more organisations opt for WINPACCS®. Among them are humedica e.V. from Germany, the charity IPSO from Germany, the Institute for Youth Development KULT from Bosnia Herzegovina and the International Training and Development Center in Yemen.
The WINPACCS® glossary is completed and made available to our customers.
For the first time WINPACCS® seminars are conducted in Spanish.
2010
mbi GmbH expands on the WINPACCS® training portfolio. For the first time WINPACCS® seminars are also offered in French.
First-hand knowledge WINPACCS® Press goes online. The newly established WINPACCS® Press publishing house is specialised to present simple and compact information around WINPACCS® and offers products tailored to specific needs of the development cooperation community. The key objective is to communicate the in-depth know-how of the specialists directly to the users and the interested professional audience.
2009
Help - Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe e.V., an international operating aid organisation, is yet another NGO that has decided to use WINPACCS® to improve their financial management and to introduce a worldwide uniform system
2008
mbi GmbH starts to offer regular seminars for WINPACCS® suite in partner countries.
The aid organisation Caritas international implements WINPACCS® in their country offices.
2007
The WINPACCS® modules accounting, cost control, cashbook und distribution are combined by the term WINPACCS® suite.
The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH purchases a company license for WINPACCS® cost control and orders to extend the application for the complex requirements by the organisation.
2006
With InWEnt gGmbH another worldwide operating company decides for the use of WINPACCS®.
WINPACCS® manager is released and introduced to different WINPACCS® customers. It enables a web-based administration of project master data.
The development of WINPACCS® communication begins, which is a technology that enables an asynchronous connection of WINPACCS® modules to the WINPACCS® manager.
2005
Distribution of WINPACCS® cashbook which was developed in cooperation with mbi GmbH and the GIZ.
The first WINPACCS® symposium takes place.
Together with the Welthungerhilfe, mbi GmbH starts developing the new module WINPACCS® distribution, an application to monitor the distribution of aid supplies.
2004
First distribution of WINPACCS® cost control. Important partners of the development are the German Development Service (DED) and the Welthungerhilfe.
2003
The former WINPACCS® is renamed to WINPACCS® accounting, since besides project book keeping, additional modules under the name WINPACCS® are developed to complement this system.
2002
The mbi GmbH acquires the rights for distribution and further development of the software WINPACCS® from the GIZ and agrees on a close cooperation on its future development.
2001
The DOS based application PACCS is ported to Windows. The name of the software changes from PACCS to WINPACCS®.
1997
The last manual project book keeping of a GIZ project is replaced by PACCS. Ever since, all worldwide projects use PACCS for their project accounting.
1994
The Welthungerhilfe and the DED choose PACCS as their standard accounting application and introduces the system worldwide.
The mbi GmbH does the configuration of PACCS for the requirements of the DED and provides maintenance and support.
1986
The application PACCS (Project Accounting System) is introduced to GIZ-projects.
1985
GIZ takes the strategic decision to replace all manual book-keeping in the projects with a computerized system and starts to develop a PC-based accounting software.
